Part-time MBA

I am an investment banking associate at BNP Paribas. I am also a practising solicitor in Hong Kong and a practising certified public accountant in Washington, USA. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, I worked as a legal professional at King & Wood Mallesons and an accounting professional at Ernst & Young. I specialise in mergers & acquisitions transactions.

I graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and political science in 2009, and obtained my juris doctor and postgraduate certificate in laws qualifications in 2013 and 2014 respectively. I decided to go for MBA studies during my legal career in late 2015, since I had observed the escalating expectations of future senior management in the market, which is no longer solely dominated by profession and work experience. To me, MBA training from a prestige academy has become essential in the market to cater to the needs of a changing world.

International reputation, learning flexibility and programme specialty were my key criteria and HKU was my first pick. HKU MBA has strong rankings and word of mouth reputation from the senior management of listed companies, financial institutions and multinational corporations that I was personally engaged with. Also, HKU MBA Town Center is within walking distance from my office in Central. I really believe there should be no doubt about the convenience offered by HKU MBA teaching facilities.

Programme specialty is one of the major criteria to which I would like to draw prospective candidates’ attentions. There are other universities in town offering finance trading laboratories, which specialise in the sales and trading field. HKU MBA is offering Business Lab, a business simulation curriculum, which focuses on entrepreneurship and management training.
