For the HKU MBA Alumni Webinar Series, our alumnus GianPaul Castañeda from Class of 2019 shared key insights and useful tips with us on 14 December, particularly focusing on how he made his triple change: change of industry, change of country and change of role after completing his MBA journey. Before joining the HKU Business School, GianPaul worked as a lawyer in Peru for six years. He switched his career and moved into the F&B industry in Asia after earning his MBA. GianPaul also talked about his time in Hong Kong as a student, how getting an MBA enabled him to gain international exposure and meet people with diverse backgrounds from different countries. The Q&A session included questions about his MBA class diversity, his mentorship experience and how he coped with the work culture in Singapore and Thailand.
