After obtaining undergraduate degrees in economics and electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, I joined Toyota Motor Sales, USA as a production planner in the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) division. During my four and a half years at TRD, I strategised the i­mplementation of new engi

neering designs for various engine components for the US racing industry. I consistently prioritised multiple development and production projects to deliver and meet strict deadlines. I enjoyed working at a great company such as Toyota. However, I also wanted to pursue my life goals of getting an MBA and experiencing a career in Asia. I decided to pursue my MBA at HKU because the HKU MBA programme offers the best opportunity to maximise my growth for a successful career in Asia owing to its global exposure, vast alumni network and core academic curriculum.
