Full-time MBA

I was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Peking University and joined Standard Chartered as an international management trainee in 2007. During the past five years at Standard Chartered, I have worked in Shanghai and Beijing in various positions, most recently as associate director and transactor on the loan syndication and capital markets teams in China. My job functions have included the origination and distribution of syndicated loans in China’s onshore market. Throughout this period, I have had the chance to work with hundreds of foreign and local banks in China to finance multinational and local corporations and institutions, helping them to meet their tremendous need for working capital and capital expenditures.

Hong Kong is regarded as the financial centre of Asia, and I would like to move to Hong Kong to explore more career possibilities in the financial services sector. That is my major reason for choosing HKU to pursue my MBA. Since coming to HKU, I have found that there are strong connections between the MBA programme and Hong Kong’s financial industries via the alumni network and the current full- and part-time MBA students, which I firmly believe will be beneficial to our future career advancement.
