Full-time MBA

I have been a mentor for the HKU MBA Mentorship Programme for several years and my experience with my mentees has been very fulfilling and rewarding; we learn, share and enrich one another. I was fortunate to have worked with mentees from different nationalities and professional experiences. I hope my experience from diverse industries have added value to their development, and that my coaching approach has helped them raise their self-awareness and to identify blind spots.

A good mentor is like a library of knowledge and experience, the mentees must be proactive in seeking these resources. As a mentor, my motto is “Be a river, not a reservoir”, the river promotes life while the Reservoir squashes it. Rivers are active bodies of water that flow, their banks provide fertile land for crops and other natural occurring plants and foliage. Reservoirs are dank and lifeless.

I am glad to have kept in touch with some of my mentees after their graduation and am happy to witness their growth both professionally and personally. Thank you, Career Development and Training team for giving me the opportunity to meet these high-quality individuals; we have influenced each other’s lives in a positive way.
